I am going to Global Gathering this year cos I also like music other than Hardcore sometimes but I am well excited now cos I have just read that Hixxy and Storm are going to be there - Yeh!

This has made what looked a good event, excellant but I am wondering what other people think - do you think it is the start of Hardcore going more mainstream/commercial? Is it a good or a bad thing?

Personally I don't care! I just know that I and my other half, will be crammed into, what I expect will be, a very busy, sweaty tent dancing our tits off!!

The Mainstream/Commercial , Good/Bad argument has been done to death, i don't think anyone really knows what it would be like.

I just think whatever doesnt kill the scene will really make it stronger!

I've been to Global Gathering a couple of times as i do still like listening to the odd bit of D n B, Trance & Hard house and the atmosphere is always spot on.

HOWEVER.

I won't be going this year because there just isn't that much about it that interests me. And there's no way i'm going to go for 1 hour of Hardcore.

They should have stuck their necks out and gone for a Hardcore tent (as had been suggested by a lot of people) - THAT would have made it worth attending.

Arguably one of the best

I go to GKGG every year. If the weather is good it's a top day (and night) out. Everytime I go I seem to get wasted, god knows why! Must be all that trance pants...

I do go to the DnB arenas (still is hardcore in my old books) and all are cool - just don't expect to get near the front...

Obviously our whole troop have decided to visit the Hixxy set. Should be a good move by HTID and Hardcore in general. Hixxy cannot fail to impress the Trace and Hard-House ravers if he pulls out a UK Hardcore cracker. The fact I use Hixxy Peel session to get people into hardcore says it all.
