great news about hardcore going on to radio 1
ive just been on dj kutski bio on radio 1 hes the man who will
be repersenting hardcore on the show, but on his bio
it doesnt mention hardcore at all just hard house,hard trance and hard style
he also bringing out "hard house" tracks
so does that meen more hard dance than hardcore i hope not
why couldnt they have got one of the big boys to do the show
hixxy,darren styles,brisk the list goes on, rather than a unnone dj
who does hard house,dont they have fergie for that
and at 3-5 in the morning,you can listen to happy hardcore radio anytime
with "hardcore djs" playing hardcore
so radio 1 is going to be hard house again or are you really going to have hardcore,ill wait and see

There's definitely hardcore on there. If I remember correctly, the mailshot from the CLSM said that one hour is going to be hardcore, so that's half the slot!
The email also answered the question "Why Kutski?" and that's because he's not part of any of the major labels etc. so his selection won't be biased towards any of the labels . If Hixxy for example got the slot then you know that it could be pretty much a Raverbaby showcase and the other labels wouldn't get much of a look in.
He may be pretty much an unknown, but you've got to be good to get onto the UK's largest radio station! His mixing is tight and his scratching skills are pretty awesome. I got a Kutski CLSM promo cd a little while ago, I think it's still for sale - well worth a listen. Try www.clsm.net
Yeh, I'm not totally happy about the 3am time slot, but there are a lot of clubbers out and about at that time of day and of course as with every other show you can always listen again from the Radio 1 website - and these figures are looked at and logged. Radio 1 have no idea how many people are listening in their car, but they know how many are listening online, and who knows? if the show (particularly the Kutski ones :o) does well then maybe hard dance and hardcore could get more airtime? Dave Pearce played hardcore (CLSM's John Peel) once, so why can't he (and others) do it again?
Anyway, bottom line: Radio 1 are now playing hardcore - it's what everyone wanted, the CLSM started it (thanx a million guys!) and now finally we have a result! Don't forget it's early days and when you take into account how much the scene has picked up speed recently, who knows what's around the corner?
