Puddingmaster or something equaly cool. I think Dj names have become too much of a cliche, I dont give mine out unless they need it for flyers, i just wanna be "The guy that played that bangin tune that time" that sounds better to me...

And another thing, most of the best (Or most highly acclaimed) djs in the world use their real names, Carl Cox, Paul Oakenfold, Derrick Carter, Derrick May, Sander Kleinenberg, Paul Van Dyk, Norman Cook (formerly fatboy slim), Adam Freeland, Scott Brown etc.

Surely Puddingmaster or Gabbertron eclipses them all for street cool though...

I seem to recall an individual back when who asked for an opinion on a Dj name to, possible Robbie Jay? Not quite sure, however I remember the post all suggested Dj names have some meaning behind them, not that off the wall ones arnt okie, its really personal preference. When asked though I perfer suggesting you pick something meaningful.

Since were talking along the lines of names here, does anyone think when a producer/dj performs or creates a track he should use different names. I know alot of people who produce but instead of using a Dj name they had they used a another name. Just a thought ?

i personally like the idea of people using alliases producing tracks. That way people don't buy the record for the name on there, but instead for the track itself

I think Dj's shudn't use alias If ur searching for some records by an artist N and u think ahh Hixxy did that u don't wana have to search thru his alias to find a record, its like if u like Hixxy's style of recordz u wana find Hixxy n buy Hixxy's records not Knwo a trax by hixxy n have to go n find Raverbabyassedkisscrazy or summat stupid As his alias. ( i was just using hixxy as an example and i don't know any of his alias anyway:(
