what am i to expect at the hardcore heaven weekender when the evolution pa happens and the nu energy one??? i dont know what a pa is?

Milo is right. It's Called LIVE PA. You use Synths, Drum Machines, Laptops and anything els to make live music. It's a live performance nothing pre recorded.

Personal Apearance? I thought it was Performing Artist (Then the phrase "Live PA" would make sense).
As Apollo said, its basically someone who brings and plays their own music live. You can tell someone is a PA if there is a laptop or keyboard (at the least) next to the decks

the essential platinum pa at last chance to dance was great!! although saying that if you listen to the tape jenna does not sing the words she just sort of made some noises! so how much is live and how much is pre-programmed into the keyboards/laptops is debatable.
the atmosphere seems to be better when there is a live pa happening.

I always thought PA meant Performing Artist. "Live" I thought meant producers are playing their own tracks "live" - not DJ'ing.

i like live pa's just because you get to see hardcore, or dance music happen right before your eyes, but they are kinda boring only because it's kinda like watching someone work in an office.

It has many meanings in different situations, the answer to this situation is Performing Artist as far as I know.

Used to get some class pa's in scotland some proper shockin ones aswell though right enough.
As folk have said it's basically producers playing a live performance of there own track, always prefer the ones that have a good stage show aswell defo one thing thats missing from most the big events down here.
One of best pa's i've seen was the trance troopers from the north east, put on a quality stage show defo adds to the atmosphere in places.

good, you've all shown you can use google, now take it one step further and use googles "Define" Function - thusly

PA: A Public Address System is a collection of speakers and amplifiers. PA Systems are used for audio in everything from concert halls, to churches and even your local bar.
of course, thats the definition of PA system - when refering to sound and audio
there are of course - many differnt definitions as demonstrated here

pa's performing artist. saw organ donors doing there decks n fx once n it was proper good, i think lab 4 only do pa's
