Hardcore died a horrible death in New Zealand about 2 years ago and as such I haven't been buying Hardcore tracks for about the same amount of time (turns out my local record store is only supplying hardcore to ONE PERSON in the entire country!!!).

But lately, interest in the Ardcore has picked up again, so my question is:

As a DJ getting back into (Happy) Hardcore, what are the killer tracks i should be picking up, and what names (and labels) should I be watching out for?

I think I may have explained myself badly.

I've been playing Hardcore for about 5 years (and House for about the last 3) and I love my Hardcore Vinyl to bits.

But there are absolutely no hardcore events in this country and as I said, no one actually imports the tunes here anymore.

As of late, myself and a couple of mates have been having a few Hardcore parties and as such have started to plan some underground events. I just figured it might be a good idea to ask a couple of informed people (like the good people on this board) what we've been missing for the last 2 years?

As for my reason to get back to Happycore, its the same reason I started listening to the stuff in the first place :)

What I've picked up so far as tunes to get:

Blaze - 'Til the Day (of course)
Scott Brown - Turn up the Music
UFO - Deep Inside
Hixxy - Castles
Brisk & Fade - Desire

And I already have:

Brisk & Trixxy - Eyeopener
Bang - Shooting Star
Vinylgroover - Time
Urban Noize - 2 Hearts as 1
DHSS Grey

Any other hits I should grab?

I've already tried to explain myself on several occaisions, but it seems the overall cheerfulness of some of this board's patrons is waning.

How can you honestly judge me and dismiss me as a "pop dj" from the contents of this thread? I've already tried to establish the fact that I'm not some wannabe, posting MY 5 FAVOURITE TUNES and the 3 TUNES I'D MOST LIKE TO GET HOLD OF on seperate threads - all of which are tunes I regard highly. But this particular posting is in reference to NEW STUFF NOT YET HEARD IN NZ!

It's not like I can go to the next Happy Hardcore party that comes along to hear what Hixxy or Sy is cranking out these days because quite frankly there isn't any hardcore parties ( and the last time a british Hardcore DJ was in NZ was about 3 years ago - Breeze I think).

Therefore as someone who LOVES MY HARDCORE, I have to scour the Internet trying to find the latest tunes. And also, sometimes, not very often, but sometimes asking for help from other people on the Internet who may know athing or two about the stuff.

Whatever happened to Peace, Love, Unity & Respect?
