I prefer the older stuff, still enjoy the newer stuff though.
I mainly like more of a techno sound in hardcore, a good chunk of the newer stuff reminds me more of gabberhouse which I really didn't care for.
If the music is going to have a hard as nails kick drum, it needs to atleast be in the 175bpm range...slower tunes are just painfull; but then again maybe that's why they made them like that

I'm very particular when it comes to Gabber... I like pretty much all of Scott Brown's Gabber tracks, especially Rock That Body, Boomstick, Self Destruction, You Have To Let It All Go... and also Mind Punks with Brisk is bangin!
i really like the 2 Bonkers tracks from Endymion; Payback & Rock The Part-E, and i also like Have It Your Way (DJ Nosferatu), We're Gonna Get You (Evil Activities) and Distort Overload (Markos 13 vs DJ Ruboy) along with a few others...
so i think i'm just into the Gabber tunes that have the memorable 'chorus' bits i suppose... heh

4 me, oldskool (all core until Y2K) will always rule supreme, after that terror, the nuskool darkcore and the nuskool industrial hardcore.
but the o'skool sound can never be topped.

I like all dutch hardcore
Iv been turned off of industrial hardcore of late
Its just there is a flood of tracks which are formulated the same as dutch, they just have subpar industrial distorted samples instead of high quality bass.
I liked the old fast raw stuff, but the new stuff is just soft.
Last release I enjoyed was the new 12x2 release from evil activities
esp. tommyknocker remix of "to you who doubt me"
-----
It aint about the raves, the drugs, the fluoro sticks, the dancers
Its about the Music

Ophidian really knows how to make some tracks thats for sure.
I listened to some mohradio.com for a hours earlier and it was pretty cool. I'm not too much into gabber but I'll listen to it.
