I know your opinions are very strong when it comes to stuff like this, and i doubt you mean literally all you say. IMO Big Name plus Money doesnt equal as Greed. But a question, do you count as "free" stuff, full previews of tunes? But witch are low quality (~56Kb/s). If you do, then i partly agree with you. But i dont think they should give full releases, that are identical to the ones being sold, for free. And the ones being given (Lee UHF, Sunrise) are a nice bonus. A bonus, not something they should do. So i think its very harsh to call them pricks if they dont do stuff like that in a regular bases. I think we should be grateful for the ones that do give, rather then expecting it to be something they have to do. Just my 0,02€.

Listen to the radio on here... there are a few scott brown mixes in there ... it's free and legal :)
People seem to be forgetting that if Scott Brown makes a track he can do whatever he wants with it, give it away for free, destroy it, eat it, put it on Ebay for 1 million dollars... he owns it and he can do whatever he wants with it... if he gives a track away for free then thats great, but he does not have to, it is upto him to make that choice not anyone else.
Scott makes music for his living, it's his bread and butter... No offence to any up and coming artists here but I'm sure you all have a day job as well to fall back on or live with your parents... Scott's not cheap or anything he works hardcore 24/7 for all the fans out there.... Put yourself in Scott's shoes ... if you had to make a living just in hardcore, how would you do it?

to give something away or give it for a discounted price cheapens the product that you are providing. Scott Brown is no different' than any other "businessman". He is in the business of Hardcore and he is not making any attempt to homogonize it by flooding the market with cheapend product. If you pay full price, you can be guaranteed top rate Hardcore. Thats That.
Respect to Scotty for his hardwork.

"if ya want scott brown mp3s then go to www.evolutiondownload.com and BUY some tracks there."
I think this is an awesome idea for those of us who have no desire for vinyls. Do any other hardcore artists offer this kind of thing? I'm assuming no, but I'm hoping yes.

Some do, some dont. You can also buy mp3's from http://www.imodownload.com but know that the files are copyprotected, so they are not as good as mp3's. Also you can buy custome CD's from http://www.beats24-7.com

yeltzen: yea, i wish NextGen/Blatant and Raverbaby would do the same.
whisper: you can actually burn the tracks with windows media player 9+ so they can be ripped as mp3 later so their good enough
and dont forget that NuEnergy has their CD-r burning service aswell, and Quosh also have CD-r and mp3

Yea, but what about if you dont want to use Windows Media Player? What if you use Mac? It limits the use of the product you buy. They tryed to put copyprotection to CD's too, usually i could still record them to my computer. But sometimes i needed to harm the CD to make it work ->

Tryed everything with that one, i had no choice but to make the copyprotection track unreadable to make it work.

First off - you can alway rip analogue :) Discman to line in.
2nd - I agree with mr Silver. Scott Brown is one of the few that can actually live off hardcore. His rent comes from hardcore, his toilet paper comes from hardcore, his underwear come from hardcore. It pays the bills for him.
Let him do with it what he likes.... OR would you prefer him to leave altogether?
DjSamination - its all about supply and demand. When there is a feasable demand not just a bunch of whiners on forum, and its somewhat profitable, then I'm sure that other labels will also follow suit.

well, there's always the option to make an download label, where you can release as much as you want and dont loose too much money on havng to press vinyls that doesn't sell.
One way or another, a internet label might show what tracks are wanted and you can press after that.
whispers: theres about a handful of programs out there since 2000 that can ripp even copy protected CD's. oh and about WMA, yea i know that, but IMOd's trying to make everything into MP3 instead or in another format that might help better for other non-windows users

I'm considering to start buying custom CD-R's, first i was a little sceptic about it (CD-R's arent as good as proper CD's). But basicly i get a backup at the same time, and its better quality then an mp3. The problem with vinyl for me is, that i cant record them to my computer. So i just dont listen them so often, eventhough i would want to. Dont know why, ive tryed to record few times, but its like recording with too high rec level. I probably have too crappy soundcard or something.
