hey im interested in hearing/buying some makina on vinyl but mainly the more freeformy sounding stuff. . . (a bit like the track xtreme which ive been told is classed as not-quite makina)

so can someone recommend some labels, artists, tracknames to me?

Bit Music is probably the main label for Makina.

Try this website: www.vinilmusic.com they have quite a good selection.

hahaha cheers lads have to say you've got it covered with factoriasonora and vinilmusic anyhow. Jus take a look around them and also http://www.divisiondance.com/ you'll find plenty you like. Theres a lot of sides to makina but the freeformy stuff does sound amazing with a good base behind it. After you suggested it steve mate i was messin around puttin bases over the quosh stuff and it works a treat defo worth puttin some practice on.

Venga familia!!!

I'm at work jus now steve mate but i'l have a look for good bases as soon as i get time, the best ones are on x-que and bit mainly x-que ones by dj sek or sisu spring to mind. I've not really done much with them before as still only got 2 decks but it's a laugh to jus mess around and think how good it would be to do properly. Thought it was you that said about the quosh tunes but musta been someone else i talk to on one of the sites and dont think it was my mkr zippy either. Thats proper confused me now cos it wasnt long ago someone was sayin they'd love to hear a sy style set bcn style and i reckon it would be wkd, at least somethin i've not heard before. Gonna hopefully sack this stupid job in next couple weeks so will be back on the msn to chat to you all soon.

Venga familia!!!

^^ ^^ Innit mate 3 decks what it's all about i'm just off a 10 hour shift and am shattered but will have a good look when i get some spare time probs tomorrow then i'l pm you buddy. The one i was messin around with over the quosh vocals was this one ftp://www.vinil.d2g.com/b1/eirbsechb1.rm that's on the back of dj eirbee "searching". For those that dont no a base is a tune made up of just noises and samples that dont sound too good on there own but when mixed constantly with bouncy tunes is the best thing ever, and it works over pretty much all makina, bouncy uk hardcore like quosh and evo, and for a darker sound the hardstyle. To show you how bcn mixings done properly heres a set by the winner of the x-que dj competition javi tracker http://www.sbthq.net/audio/mixes/javisession13.ram. I think you'll agree his turntable skills pisses all over any of the big uk dj's each to their own but i'd love it if we could see shows like these boys put on at raves over here. If you like REAL makina and not jus old cheesy style visit the best audio site on the net http://www.sbthq.net/main.htm the mixes sections particularly good check anything by haston, javi tracker or pastis + buenri as these boys are defo top of the game. Gonna try get myself the cd's of the x-que comps this year cos apparently a lot of really talented up and comings fightin for a spot at x-que these days.

Venga familia!!!

There's loads of pont aeri, xque and other mixes on makination.com.

The base on the B side of 'x noise 1 - printer' is a good base. Just been through all my records and this is probs the best one i've got.
