Into hardcore again... and the cycle loops...

You have to think about the artists here, it's their track they can do what they want with it... The more people that listen to the track the better.

Of course I don't want to see hardcore turn into what hip hop has become at the moment, but even if it does I'm hardcore til I die so I don't care if they come and go again, I'm still gonna be here.

although a few of you may hate me for saying this, im gonna say it anyway :)

the commercial trance remix of hardcore tunes on AATW are actually *FUNDING* hardcore.
****in hell, revelation, i know, but when a tune gets chart release, the artists do actually recieve money for them, as as breeze, styles, or whoever you think is "selling out", you should probably remember that they are still hardcore djs!

I totally agree with that, and i always say something along the lines of it.
Hardcore prodcers are happy with whats happening commercially (and that's what really matters, in my opinion), and they are the ones who make the scene, so i'm cool with it too :)

if breeze and styles made X ammount of cash from a commercial release and used that money to buy a new state of the art sampler and a new computer, keyboards etc. which meant they could produce better quality hardcore tracks i doubt anybody would whinge then. i dont like the thought of hardcore tracks going commercial but hardcore is just as bad if not worse for ripping off other types of music so what goes around comes around. and for any artist to get a big commercial release like that is possibly one of the highlights of their carreers so theyd be stupid not too do it. breeze and styles can look back and say i had a record that sold so many thousand copies and be proud of it. as long as they keep producing tunes like "sonic" and "back 2 the old skool" i couldnt care if they release rubbish commercial filth. but it would be nice if they had the hardcore mix on it and in big capital letters said (ORIGINAL HARDCORE VERSION) so the children might go and hear some proper music

fair enough for breeze and styles for the commercial release of 'your shining' it's actually a good track that i listen to quite frequently, but heartbeatz! give me a break i mean come on whats next after that electric, oxygen, BLACK MAGIC.

fair enough also that the money from this get funded in to hardcore but when you get fans of breeze and styles saying 'hey have you heard the new version of electric b+s got in the top 40 it sucks' you know then that hardcore has died, at least for b+s anyway

Six days on the run, Looking for a place to have some fun.....

The boy overdrive's hit the nail on the head for me. Think about it these folks dont have a normal job with regular money cos their times spent producing and pushing their music. Mibbe hardcores gettin a bit of media attention now but we all no it's not always been like that and it wont stay like it forever either so fair play to them for makin a bit of money when they can. Tellin you i dont like the thought of bein skint my whole life theres a lotta good times to be had but most require havin a few bucks. I really dont see why people are so upset about the so called commercialisation of hardcore. Being realistic it's never gonna be as big as some people are tryin to make out and whats wrong with a bit more money in the scene for better raves with bigger artists and so on. From what i see theres a better musical variety all the time but i guess some people always like to bitch about something.

Venga familia!!!

There is a version of my sail away on aatw, and I never knew anything about it. I asked for a copy just to hear what it sounded like but they havent sent me anything. The way the industry works is that you don't need any permission if you do a new version in the same genre as the original. Unfortunately, trance and hardcore are classed as the same so I wasn't notified.

god damned it when people work for money!!! I hate it when that happens!!! you know, i work at an auto shop, but when i decided to do something different and mow my neighbors lawn for ten bucks, i fuc*ing sold out!!! so Breeze and Styles do remixes of their own songs! So what if those remixes aren't hardcore!! Check out what Brisk and Ham do on their spare time, they dj raves, and tadaa! they are the Stimulant DJs too! Hardhouse Dj's and Hardcore DJs? Shame on them for making some more money. Where I live, making more money is called the American Dream.

don't stand and stare, just kick your legs in the air

It's not official, but sort of discretionary. I could really put my foot down and INSIST that trance and hardcore are different, but at the end of the day, some doddery old B***ard of a judge would have to decide in court and he wouldn't know the difference I guarantee it.

If it was a hardcore tune, then covered into a jazz or swing tune, then that would qualify and there would have to be permission, but no ones going to spend money at the lawyers to differentiate between hardcore and trance, to the untuned ear, it would be purely on a speed basis.

I'm just glad I hadn't laid out 5K on new remixes only to be up against AATW!
