Whispering, by UK hardcore do you mean trancy hardcore? Because that track by deejay bee and overflow you are referring to is really trancy. I think Ishkur considers UK hardcore or upfront hardcore to be trancecore because of all the trance melodies in them. And I will side with him because I think it makes sense that when you mix trance and hardcore you get trancecore.

@ kinokoboy, listen to bonkers 3 sharkeys mix, thats what was originally called trancecore. it is very like freeform in the fact it has very little vocals, very hard and has a lot of acid riffs. calling uk/upfront hardcore trancecore would make sense if trancecore hadnt been called that back in 97. uk/upfront hardcore is too vocal led and is more an evolution of happyhardcore than anything. freeform is more an evolution of trancecore

yeah dude, I know what you're talking about...I used to call that trancecore too. But now that I look back I think acidcore would have been a better term for sharkey's mixes.

brisk and trixxy - back to the top - 98 = trancecore
there were 2 WOW cd's published in 98 which were trancecore cd's, 1 cd was even harf trance and harf trancecore

Well the deal with Ishkur in my opinion is that by insulting every peice of music he could write the least biased comments about it. How About This?
We've been makin' dance music since 1989 & sometimes bothered ourselves enough to
release it. Some of the tracks we call 'Happy Hard Trance' or others
"Psychadelic Drum&Bass' or 'Happy Hard Old Skool' etc.
If we'd got our arses in gear & released them with the relevant style on the label would
we have created a new genre? Or would the pedantic ones have told us we were wrong?
This sort of argument sometimes puts us off from bothering. If it's got the right vibe -
it's HARDCORE.
