Cant believe it!!!!! Last nite Radio 1 (a popular radio channel around the whole of lanashire) played HARDCORE!!! for the first time on public radio ever...Scott Brown had a set on for an hour i think it was...This is (in my opinion) is a great step for Hardcore, as hundreds of people will have herd it, and im guessing that some of them will have thought....***** mint!!

It's not the first time radio 1 has played hardcore, and certainly not the first time hardcore has been played on public radio either.
The late john peel used to play some hardcore and had several guest dj's on his show.

It was the John Peel Is Not Enough Show by Hixxy and Sharkey which took place last year repeat i was flicking through crappy freeview when i came to radio 1 and gabber was on and each dj had 3 - 4 songs and scott browns never lasted 1 hour

i neva even heard anything abt the show on radio1 let alone it bing scott brown if this append ffs carnt belive i missed it

It is wicked and another step up the ladder for hardcore :-) Personally I thionk its wicked I'd rather there was a radio station that played hardcore rather than pop!!!!!! What would you rather listen to at half 5 sat in mind numbing traffic???? Busted or dougal and gammer :-)

I have a tape of Force and Styles on the Essential Mix from 1997 which I taped off Radio 1.

wow! ive been waiting to here about radio 1 playing some hardcore...last i heard which was just like a rumour was the link with the late John Peel and how a few people might of played some sets on his show,seems they really did which is good to hear :-)

Take it easy people,easy mistake!Mr Raver thought it was the first time 4 hardcore 2 b played on da radio like many other people thought it was like myself but it was not!chill
