I was wondering what a typical mix length is because on Sy's site he says that he does either 16 or 32 bar mixes, i have always done them much longer so i was wondering what other people do.

well to be honest it varies on each track, on how many bar's it is, wheather you can cut it, really you just need to study the tunes there is not set times on mixes.

there is no typical mix length...personally I feel the longer the better but short mixes are good too. vary them up to keep sets interesting. sy usually has his short because most of the time he spends too much time spent on scratching and runs out of record space to mix.

Yeah, what Brian said!

Depends on your DJ'ing style - i don't scratch (apart from my knackers) so i tend to go for longer mixes. I'm equally happy doing shorter mixes - usually if i'm doing a set with lots of tunes included.

Arguably one of the best

it also depends on the style, with this new style the intros and outros are longer, on the old skool it seemed like the beginnings weren't as long.
