I love my raves as much as the next raver.. But would'nt it be great to have a venue each week that you could go to, socialise each week at.. Without having to pay a ridiculously high entrance price and actually know where the venue is. Here in Sydney, there are a couple of small nights which happen every now and again at clubs, but never every wk like the raves.. Theres a massive club night called Sublime here which caters for EVERY SINGLE DANCE GENRE, except HARDCORE! There was an outcry a few yrs ago, when it was suggested that Sublime has a rave room in the local dance press.. I find it very sad, the arrogance of big club promoters towards our music and scene.. Is anyone out there fortunate enough to go to a club that plays hardcore every wk? And do people out there think it will ever get the same recognition as its cousin Drum & Bass in clubs?

Hardcore is one of those genres that will always be associated with raves, but I suppose it would be nice if more upscale clubs would be willing to play it, hehe.

That would be deadly but i dont think id be able to sit down all night if hardcore tunes where getting played real loud id want to get up and rave, it would still be brilliant.

^^ well why not have that then, have clubs with a dance floor and chill out zones, they have that for hip hop and other genres, why not hardcore, get up and rave or sit on some big plush sofas listenin to the tunes.
i don't see any reason why not, let it be every week, u don't have to go every week and make it stale for yourself or then again since hardcore won't be the most popular thing around, it may pull a decent crowd of regulars and it could become like a little community of raves.
i can't find a negative thing about it really.
Honestly officer, it's for medicinal purposes! Just ask my doctor, he's right over there eating the curtains!

The rave scene is pretty dead in upstate new york, but there are people working hard to get it going. Only a few underground parties pop up here and there. Some very excellent djs but not any hardcore. I would love to go raving every week end like old times.

Hey Yoni, yep... Icebox in Sydney did have an oldskool rave night for a short time... Was put on by Paul Holden.. But Icebox shutdown and got renovated, it has become a swanky bar:( There was Logic, put on by fenix that was a hardcore club night, but was never advertised and a very small venue.. The only other one in Sydney is Ultra, had Weaver & Haze playing.. Is held at Arq night club in Sydney cbd.. Happens once in a blue moon and most of the night is Trance with a few hrs of Hardcore. Its a great venue with two levels, fantastic lighting, but as i said is not on often.. Once every 4mnths if ur lucky!!
