It's not a mater of peer influence or being proud its amatter of following those tingles up your spine that start the glowing grin when you hear "like a shooting star across the midnight sky", Rather than the frown from "waz up foo io be capping you ass for da nine"????!!!!???? i'm sorry WHAT

Theres nothing to be embarrassed about, HHC is awesome music and if people around you dont understand it then thats their problem, the prob. is that people do not get what HHC is and jump to conclusions right away...if you like HHC you have no need of embarrassement. :D

let's just say..i'm doing an informative speech on it and i'm about to post a topic asking a few questions D: so i guess i'd have to say i'm not embarrassed. but i suppose i listen to a LOT of other things, including all sorts of metal(death/speed/thrash/black//new/old/whatever) and a lot of other types of music as well. I mean I can go from listening to Coldplay, to the Deftones, to Dimmu Borgir, then start listening to some HHC and not have a problem with any of that.

but i'll hav eto say there's nothing to be embarrassed about. If youlisten to the song, lyrics or not. you have to give a lot of credit to the DJ's on it. and anyon else contributing to it or whatever. A lot of people consider stuff like hhc or death metal or something 'noise' well perhaps it is noise, but noise is what makes the music, putting the noises together is what puts music together, and that's what makes it sounds good. if any of that makes sense >_>; anyway going to post that topic :o

I know what ur sayin about "The Monkey", when i play my h-core i always get people sayin "why u listenin to the monkey?" but that just shows their ignorance ;-)

Back to the rock thing... didn't rock become popular cos everyone was trying to be "different" and "independent"?
Now that everyone listens to it surely they should all listen to something else?? lol. Just a thought...

i agree it can be emmbarassing when the tune has an annoying ladies voice nearly throughout the whole thing. (the sounds are hardcore but the voices just sound gay!).Only a few tunes have annoying voices and lyrics, i depends on what you buy.. and always have a sub connected so that when it kicks in no one could be emmbarrased!!!! more scared

keep it 'ardcore

Guess i was always a bit cautious back in the days where to many hardcore tunes included vocals from old love songs from the 80's, like Eternal Flame, Electric Dreams, Rush Hour etc (which dont get me wrong, i love), but you can understand why that would sound corny to some people.
I couldnt say i could ever be embarssed about how harcore sounds now, the diversity of the music now seperates it from the old like its a completely new genre.

You should never be embarrest about the fact that you like hardcore if anything try to teach you mates and see if you can get them into it as well even that or we have to put up with the likes of JA(I'm so tough)RULE.

I love Hardcore, I don't care what anyone says.

My bother calls it "girly music". I've only shared hardcore with a few of my friends and my girlfriend. My friends said it was ok, but my girlfriend loved it!

If people was to hear happy hardcore before slagging it off they would see that its damn good, even my mom has to agree with me when i say it makes you feel good, it isnt somthing she listens to but when i got it on she never tells me to turn it down and i listen to it very loud, my sister only has to put her music on a little bit and my mom tells her to shut up. I am proud to say i listen to hardcore and i will never be any diffrent, if you feel sad for listening to it then you obviously dont have enough respect for it.
