The recent mixes by Cliffraves have been inspiring. I'd like to spin some makina in addition to the hardcore I already spin. Could anyone reccomend a store that has a good online stock of makina? I don't really care about shipping, I'd be ordering like 20 recs, enough to last me :P.

Good to see the words spreading i've been lovin makina good couple years now especially 3 deck bcn mixes. The stores i use are www.vinilmusic.com, www.divisiondance.com, www.makina.co.uk and www.ultimatebuzz.net. There are others i just cant think just now but vinilmusic is my favourite.

You can do bank transfers on vinilmusic steve mate or else its gotta be credit card. I use my ma's credit card cos then it comes up with the price in english £'s on her statement instead of tryin to work out the euros. Also got told another quality site today http://www.factoriasonora.co.uk/ which is run from the u.k with loadsa crackin tunes old and new at spot on prices, think it's run by mischief who sells all the spanish tunes on buzz and ush but some of the prices are tremendous. to lucifus if you're looking for examples of makina tunes to help put you in the right direction either pm me or add me to msn [email protected] and i'll try my best to help you out. Venga familia!!!

For some reason all the Makina I try to get is very expensive, like twice the price of regular vinyl... If anyone knows where I can get Makina at a regular wholesale price I can stock it for the store.

No probs lucifus mate. Your right marchhare though makination.com is a massive makina site run from spain with a very good buy and sell section, you can get tracks through asking there not possible at any online stores and real rarities. I must admit the language barrier sometimes puts me off but i'm seriously thinkin of learnin a bit of spanish jus to no enough to get good info. About vinyl silver i really wouldn't no where to go about lookin to stock it. To be honest at nearly all the stores on the net they're a couple quid dearer than other vinyl, i think you'd need contacts in spain to get them cheap. I dont think people grudge paying the extra money though cos a lotta people into makina spend loads on old classics, in the north east up to £80 for one vinyl is not uncommon steve o will tell you the same. Personally i think they're mental but i collect a few classics i really like but more into the harder newer stuff. Here's an example of what i like about makina at moment http://www.sbthq.net/audio/mixes/sessionmakina3decks8.ram, dj haston mixin it hard and fast on 3 decks. It's definitely this style i'd like to take off at raves cos there's nothin better imo. Venga familia!!!

Innit steve classics are quality for listenin to especially when listenin back to old sets, but for us new dj's it should be about lookin to the future and the new stuffs pisses all over anythin else when mixed properly.
Venga familia!!!
