Let's see...

As for me, i call it UK hardcore for all the present Hixxy and Scott Brown like stuff, cuz the sound of UK-based hardcore is totally different than other-countrys-based stuff which is more trancey or freeform or whatever. No "Nu skool" term for me, although it can be used I think...

Those ancient stuff before '94 is actually old-skool Hardcore Techno, and it has nothing common with the later Happy Hardcore.

And finally, look at the url above and stfu

Personally I class hardcore as the early breakbeat style. Happy hardcore is the more vocally tunes after when the kickdrum started appearing around the time of Toytown. SO yeah, i suppose technically the new style of hardcore is 'nu-skool'.

Does it actually really matter what people call it???

It's kinda like "Tomato" or TomAto"....doesn't matter.

As long as we are all listenin and loving the same .....That's what it's all about... imo anyway...

If it 'died' why do happy hardcore Tunes get more cheers and fill dance floors quicker than any other style of hardcore?

If it moves, eat it. If not wait until it does moves and then eat it.

That's not the principle, Ofcourse the old stuff is still called Happy Hardcore. What im saying is there's very little HHC track's getting produced these day's.

I, personally, class RB type tunes as happy hardcore. Yeah, they have trancy riffs etc but its really just an evolution of the older style more than anything else. All music scenes must evolve or they'll die.

It's not the same as the old tunes, but they still have a happy essence - and besides, nu-skool hardcore is a sh*te name. I hate that term which seems to get taped onto everything these days.

People don't call new hip-hop anything different because it doesn't sound the same as Eric B and Rakim, so why should the name happy harcore be dropped?
