HARD WARS
HAPPYHARD VS HARDTRANCE VS HARDSTYLE VS GABBER
date: Saturday 25th September, 2004 / 10pm - 7am
venue: The Atrium - Macquarie University
info: 16+ event : over 18 area with alcohol available : photo id required
strictly limited capacity venue : this event will sell out!

HARD WARS will bring together 18 of Sydney's elite DJ's, in a tactical 9 hour battle on the wheels of steel, to determine finally, once and for all, which style of hard dance music is the most lethal on the dance floor. Battling it out for total supremacy will be the 4 main styles featured in the Sydney party scene - Happy Hard, Hard Trance, Hard Style & Gabber.

The Atrium - Macquarie University
Without question, one of the wildest party venues in Sydney, The Atrium has been home to our previous events Hyperspeed and Helter Skelter, along with awesome events like Love Nation, United and Back to Basics. For Hard Wars we will be utilising the massive 3rd level of the Atrium, which comprises a wicked main arena, a second arena for over 18's with a licensed bar, together with an enormous undercover, heated outdoor area with comfy seating and a mad view of the main arena action. The Atrium offers Hard Wars a "large scale" venue for a small party ticket price. If you think this event will sell out early, you'd be right!

It does look very good. Haze is producing some rockin tracks.

This party reminds me of another one Fenix put on a while back called Hardwarehouse. That was awesome!

I know you, you're from Echild ;) You have a track on Hardcore Tsunami 2, well done on that mate.

Yeah Haze, Electrix, Antix, Weaver etc are doing so much for Aussie Hardcore, it's brilliant :)

was dragged down to hardwars at the lsat minute by a few friends and all i can say is:
"thank god for the music"

the sets were quite good but overall the party was fairly poor.
*the sound quality in the one arena wasn't too flash if you were more than 8-10 metres away from the stage.
*the shape of the dancing area was very badly thought out, making it extremely hot at the front, and you had to push your way through everyone right from the back to get near the front.
*there wasn't enough room (there were more people sitting around playing video games and talking than there were dancing).
*the bar area was shut by 1.30!!!!!
*no vibe
*i paid $40 on the door, ouch.

otherwise, best sets have to go antix vs tom-e and scape vs oky. besides watching someone get punched in the face both these sets went off!

Pacman, you're not wrong.

Stinking hot at the front, freezing at the back....
