Ive heard quite a bit of Psy-Trance recently and a lot of the tracks are really banging and could easily be played by the likes of Mark E G and no one would know it wasnt proper "Hard Trance"
Do you think Psy-Trance qualifies as Hard Dance?

I've always thought that Psy Trance was the chilled out stuff like Goa Trance. I wouldn't have guessed it sounded like banging Hard Trance though e.g Uberdruck.

No, most of its really banging!!
Sure there is some chilled out stuff but theres loads of banging tracks, i especially like the sort of tracks with the heavy guitar riffs running through it!!

Psy Trance is too much for alot of people to take. I wouldn't advise playing it somewhere where hard trance is expected as it is not what these people are looking for. Trust me I have seen many people try it and it doesn't work. Shame becasue I really like it.
It don't matter who are or what you do, HARDCORE is for you.

I always thought of Psy-Trance as Goa Trance, like Astral Projection :o

It is Goa Trance BUT in lonon its classed as their hard trance.

www.ishkur.com, check the guide to electronic music. Don't read any of it cause the guy's a tosser ;) but listen to the Hard Acid Trance/Techno bit. Thats what I think of when I think of a Mark EG set. I still haven't got Psy Trance figured out yet.

Quite a lot of the Psy-Trance is pretty good. I've been listening to some GMS and Infected Mushroom lately. Don't class it as hard enough to be called HardTrance though.

its definitely not hard dance, u get harder psy trance stuff but its still not hard dance.
