I'm currently looking around for decks but I'm starting to get confused.
I'm planning to get either St-100 or STR8-90. The St-100 has a S shaped arm and the STR8-90 has a strait-tone arm. I think I would like to do some scratching, so I was told the STR8-90 would be better for that. In a review I read that the STR8-90 is good for scratching but it can disort the sound for beat matching...But can't you just change the cartridge so that you can beat match properly? Which one should I get? -> Some help here!

unless you are doing heavy scratching, like for hip hop, then you should be alright with the curved tone arm. get a mixer with a fader that cuts well, no curve or one with an adjustable curve.

also, if you are going to learn to scratch, make sure THE PLATTERS ARE SOLID AND DONT WOBBLE. That is key, cause if it wobbles (like mine) your needle is gonna skip about every 15 seconds. Its sooo frustrating. But yeah, thats my 2 cents.

Oh! Have fun with it
