Okay...I just finished hooking my turntables to my computer and I want to know what programs members use to record their sets. I've tried looking but I cant seem to find anything good 
Please help...

soundforge has never messed up on me, and you can edit out the gaps at the start and end (which im sure you can do with others too) but its handy. So yeah, i recommend soundforge

Usually it would be considered a sin to go out and buy a program such as Cubase SX V.2. only for use with recording sets, but not when it's going for this cheap.

I definatly go with Cool Edit Pro. I've been using it since Cool Edit 96 and when I started mixing, it was just the right thing to do. Stuff I like over Sound Forge: Loading doesn't take as long as Sound Forge (writing a peak file). Also, I really didn't like how you record in SF. You have to go to this recording screen and press record. On Cool Edit Pro, you can just cick record on the bottom and it'll record. You can stop as easy as this too. Plus, while recording you will see the peaks of what you're recording so you don't have to worry about redlining.
In the end, I love Cool Edit Pro a lot more. Silver uses it as well. I suggest you give both a try and see which you prefer.

Cool Edit 2000 is good but the MP3 support is very bad. Never save a file in MP3 format in Cool Edit 2000 the quaility is just plan crap. I record my sets, save to WAV then convert to MP3 for the radio outside of cool edit using lame or something.

the mp3 conversion in cool edit pro 2 works well for me..

lol, Warez geeks. The original mp3 encoding in Cool Edit 200 is pretty ghey, but it seems that you have to mess with the settings, or just get Cool Edit Pro...
I tend to use Ogg Vorbis any way..
A very simple program would be Total Recorder, or even EZ Editor.
