basically
i was just spinning, went to put a record on my deck and dropped it onto my deck by accident. the tonearm got hit and went a bit mad, and now when i put it on the rekkid it just skips to about halfway.
i took the needle off both and put it on the record just to test if it was the tonearm like, and the broken one moved along the record a bit and stayed at about 1/3 of the way across, but the one that works went all the way to the end of the record. I've been told its a needle problem, but i'd like a second opinion, can anyone help me out?

have ya tried swapping the needles over?

yeah, its a needle problem. i just swapped the needles over and the one with the dodgy needle didnt play properly. cheers

i ve had a problem like this
id managed to crack the tone arm so a bit osuper glue did the trick
but anyways check the tone arms ok if its not the tone arm
keep a 2p blue tacked to the headshell if continues
try 1pound coin (its good for learnin 2scratch aswell)
if allthat fails ERm erm erm its fuc**d

someone doesn't know how to calibrate a tone arm properly :P ya shouldn't need any kind of weight on the needle. and i can't be arsed to explain how to set it at this moment,sorry :P
