a few nights back after stumbling through the dark of my bedroom i managed to knock over an entire glass of champaine onto one of my TTX1's..of course i woke my wife (with a high pitched shocked girly screem as these decks are fairly new) the rest of the night was spent taking the ttx1 to bits and making sure nothing had leaked into it (wilst cursing myself for leaving a glass of wine in such a stupid place) and drying out what did...luckily it still works...
im bored, so i was wondering weather any of you guys had any shock stories from drunken binge's and near broken equiptment
man, that was almost £350 down the drain :(

haha funny I have a story as well... I used to live in a small 1 room apartment in central Tokyo, this was small, very small place.
One night after a former company party where all the drink was free, I stumbled home. Now... I had left a glass of water on one side of the room on a stool and on the other side of the room was my DJ setup.
I woke up the next day with a super hangover... not remembering how I really got home... I look up and I see the glass of water on the stool thinking wow I did not knock that over that amazing... I look to my left and one of my decks is hanging by it's audio cables from my mixing desk with the earth cable snapped. My mixing desk was against the wall as well, so some how I managed to pull the deck off the table... I still have no idea how it happened.

well it didn't happen to me or my decks but a drunk friend of mine walked down the hallway in i lived at dorm, opened a door to a room which wasn't his, and starting peeing all over one of the guys books that lived there evidently thinking it was the bathroom =P

ooOOoo horror stories, i love horror stories, at this time i wasent into Djing but i JUST started getting into hardcore, (but thats besides the point) so this story may not be horrible to me but it was to my cousin at the time) this was several years back, it was a new melineum party that we threw at my cousins house (end of 99 and into 00) my cousin had just got his first decks for christmas and at this party everyone was getting drunk except me and some other underage people, and now its like 3 in the morning and everyone who was drinking was piss drunk (as expeted) and if you like to patry, you know drunk people, (oh man, you do NOT want to get a drunk Mexican mad, it does NOT pay off) anyways one rude comment went on to another, and another, and two drunk people started fighting in my cousins room, man did they tore that room APART (i found this funny but very scary) one of the drunk persons took one of my cousins new turntables that he had got like 3 weeks ago and hurled it at the other drunk guy, and it missed so he went after the other but then my cousin came in running towards his decks and screamming bloody murder and he triped onto the drunk guy and fell on the other deck and the mixer, i was getting really scared at the time (the battle raged on more people fought, girls screamed, my cousin cried like a little girl for hours, a shotgun was pulled out [thank GOD he diddnt fire it] and the police came and it caused a really big scene)

(its really interesting being a mexican american when all of your family is from Mexico, growing up in the ghetto)

Had a bad experience while paralectic the other nite, got home bout 11ish n fort i just fancy a bost on me dex, so went to get me records fell over my bros bed. undettered i went to the cupboad where i keep my records . fancied sum old skool n there kept on teh top shelf , went to pull em dwon , next thing i no bout 50 records on me head!!! neway checked for scrathe son em all!! bout 12 30 i get on me dex, start spinning, n all of a sudden.... SMACK!!! got jabbed by my dad screaming "DO U NO WHAT FCUKIN TIME IT IS" so decided maybe sleep woz a gud idea, fell over n cracked a record:S gud job it woz only scooter - logical song, that i woz pissing about wiv at the time. not so much a horroor story but a pissed up drunken experience:S

back when i had my electribes i was drunk one night and left a ciggarette sitting with the cherry about an inch off one of the sequnecers, thinking, ittl be okay, i just gotta pee then ill be back, thne i got sidetracked...melted a key, came running in and threw milk on it. lol. hey it still worked!

Dropped a PS2 controller on my AWOL cd and cracked it when i was pissed. That was my favourite Drum n Bass cd, took ages to find it again
