Have no idea where he is from. I am guessing maybe Germany.
Might be too modern for some as you can definitely hear his Hardstyle influences. Has a very Ganar/Technikore vibe.
Curious about your thoughts..

A quick SoundCloud search points us to him being from Norway, which DEFINITELY explains the Hardstyle influences!
I enjoy his tunes, but I def agree that we need to move a little bit away from the Hardstyle influences. I'm looking towards bringing back Big Kicks and Anthem Style supersaws this year~

Where do you guys think the next era of Hardcore will go?
It will eventually evolve again. But I have no idea which direction.

I do like the heavy kicks. Yeah it makes sense his influence if he is Norwegian.

Last time I checked, Hardstyle isn't more popular in Norway than in the rest of Scandinavia... so basically non-existing.

Million dollar question tbh. The problem is things get forced these days, the progression from breakbeat hardcore to 4 beat was natural, all they did was beef up the kick and remove the breakbeat. then happy hardcore to uk hardcore was change the kick and introduce an off beat bass.
Natural progressions. But tbh, where it will go from here I dunno. I think the bouncy techno area needs revisiting and modernising, I think it's possible to look at the babyboom / dwarf era and learn a LOT from that, and somehow morph it into something new and powerful.
Anyway, I find it quite sad to see producers trying to hard to keep it going for very little return.

I would like it if they hardened up the sound again. Joey Riot and Kurt kind of did the powerstomp thing for a little while.
I have a feeling it will keep emulating what the larger dance scenes are doing. Could be anything.
But say everyone started using early house leads and riffs in the large scenes. You can pretty much be guaranteed some of it will seep into a lot of Hardcore productions.

The Powerstomp was a hit or miss though.
Kurt's original "Powerbounce" stuff were great, but Joey Riot's Powerstomp/Makina cross-overs where much better than Kurt's Powerstomp.

Oien is back again with a collab with Johnny X Marty called "End Tour 2020"
Really liking the Technikore influences, who is ahead of the game at the moment with immaculate productions

Not keen on the vocals, but the tracks are quite pleasant but does sound tired. Would have fit 2016-2017 very well but too much music sounded the same back then.

His production quality is definitely where it needs to be. Pretty dialed in to a very specific style which isn't to everyone's taste, but at least he's doing it well. He's got a good grasp of it. Shows promise.
Thanks for this post, I'd never heard of him before. Gonna keep an eye on him.
