Wats the best way to time stretch using soundforge 6.0? I know u have to edit tempo then time stretch but it never seems to work out, even wen i put it through recycle, it still doesnt match the tempo speed when i put ir on cubase, or reason as a rex file! If sum1 cud give me a little help, it wud b much appreciated!

make sure that the start and end of the file is trimmed properly so that it loops seamlessly.
Then work out the original tempo accurately (I work to at least 0.1 bpm accuracy.... usually 0.01). You can do this with teh edit tempo command, just make sure you input the right number of BEATS
Then go into timestretch, and select the option to input the data by tempo and put in the original tempo, and the tempo you want it to end up at.
Hit OK, and your done.
Then import it into Cubase, making sure you have the master tempo set to the correct tempo.
this is the way I work, and have never had any probs.
Another tip btw, unless your going for some weird oudlandish effect, don't timestretch by more than about 25% otherwise you get weird artifacts in the final sound.

I actually have a problem with creating too much echo when i time strecth and the kick drum seems to go all weird

^^^ Frank.... try using a different algorithm...... in Soundforge theres about 10 I think, all better for different things.... I'm pretty sure theres a drum one in there somewhere

think ive tried most really. Dunno what the problem is. I got Wont forget these days ( track played a lot by The Raver baby crew ) and tried to timestrech that too 165 but even that didnt work. Dunno what they do differently

try using timefactory
although it sometimes goes gay saying u dont have enough diskspace even when u got a cool 100+ gig

::sigh:: I want to know why everyone calls it "Time stretching" when it's clearly not stretching the song out. If you want to speed it up, that is called compressing because it's making the file smaller. Unless you really do want to stretch a song out to make it slower, then I'm sorry.

I think "TimeStretching" is quite poo really, I don't see the point in it myself. Lately Loads of people have been speeding up trance tunes to play in there hardcore sets why bother!!! Just play a raverbaby record it's the same kinda thing  .

Well, originally, it was Time Stretching/Compressing, but seeing as thats quite a mouthful, it was shortend 
Personally I find it silly to Time Stretch/Compress a whole track
