HUMP'D
March 19, 2005 :: Chicagoland Area

Intergruv Networks is proud to present you with HUMP'D, a sequel to last year's ode to springtime. Once again, we bring you an event to last all night in, or within 20 minutes of, chicago city limits. Hotels are abundant in the city, and provide easy access to the venue. Entry into the event is $15, RSVP @ www.intergruv.net/humpd/ for guaranteed entry and a free CD! Every person is required to bring a can of food, all of which will be donated to the Greater Chicagoland Food Depository. ID's wil be checked at the door, and those of you who are 21+ will have the opportunity to purchase alcohol.

This year we bring you two rooms of aural pleasure. Our white room features a variety of electronic music genres, while our black room provides you with all your jungle/dnb/hardcore needs.

Trevor Lamont
Aliensquad*Nate FX*Teamster Sound System*Jack Junkies
Style: Deep House
Lexington, KY

Trevor Lamont started spinning in 1987, and was influenced early by the likes of Frankie Knuckles and Louie Vega through his involvement in the club scenes in New York and Philadelphia. From avid club goer to aspiring DJ, Trevor has put his heart and soul in the music he loves. Trevor's love of jazzy, sexy, deep, underground house music, combined with his smooth, layered mixing skills have brought him gigs across the United States and Canada.

Mark Almaria
Bunchlox Music*Funk Tech*IHR*markalmaria.net

Chicago, IL

At some point during any conversation about top DJs of the Midwest electronic music scene you are guaranteed to hear the name Mark Almaria. This showstopper is a Midwest mainstay for a reason. His precise, action-packed mixing style is often imitated, never duplicated. Constantly working double copies of records while incorporating fader tricks and scratches, he is able to perform flawless on-the-fly remixes providing the audience with a treat for the ears and the eyes. Combining feel-good house vibes with a no-nonsense approach to DJing, Mark has proven his skills time and again, cementing his place among Chicago‘s DJ elite.

The Lady Foursquare
UFO Jeans*Deep Blue*Hushabye House*Diva DJ's
Style: House
Slugger City

Don't think for a second that this "Louisville Slugger" is hitting like a girl. The Lady Foursquare's inimitable aggressive technical flare, almost pentecostal energy and turntablist trickery have earned her appearances preceding DJ Scribble, Q-burns Abstract Message, Baby Anne, Reid Speed and Honey Dijon. She has rocked tag sessions with Trevor Lamont and Kit Chaps of VHS or Beta (Astralwerks) and the Dusttraxx event series, Sweat with Harrison Crump. This event kicks off the tour to her much anticipated Winter Music Conference debut

DJ Phix
BassDrive.com
Style: Soulful DnB
Chicago, IL

An 11 year veteran of drum n bass, I've always been a fan of the diversified styles of drum n bass, spinning styles ranging from liquid funk to the hardest mash up bizniss. I'd say I really honed my skills playing in night clubs for non-drum n bass crowds with some of Chicago's veteran DJs, like Jesse Dela Pena and Uncle Milty, learning how to work a crowd. I've been playing live shows on BassDrive.com for over 4 1/2 years, and been an administrator/A&R guy for the site for over 3 years. I've had residencies at Red Dog, Dragon Room, Empty Bottle, and Crobar.
