   Radio record broken again
Well we broke one listener record this week, why not break two while we're at it!? HappyHardcore.com radio peaked at just under 900 listeners this week breaking our existing record and our long standing record by nearly 100 people tuned in at the same time! Amazing!

You may or may not know that HappyHardcore.com radio is in partnership with Digitally Imported radio and its dance network of radio stations. HappyHardcore.com radio and the hardcore channel on Digitally Imported indirectly compete against all the other big dance genres including, trance, hard house, progressive, goa trance and hard trance. The hardcore channel is keeping up in terms of listeners on the channel and at peak times have more listeners than most of the other genres except trance which attracts around 3-4 times more listeners. This is where you come in:

We want to show the world who's hardcore - we want to show the world how many hardcore supporters are out there - we want to show the world what hardcore is about. You can help us to show how many people love hardcore by just tuning into the station. Hardcore music is sometimes passed over as a tiny genre but this just in not the case. Let's show the rest of the dance community how many supporters of hardcore music there are in the world, numbers don't lie and to pull numbers as large or larger than the other big channels such as trance would certainly open a few eyes. 1,000 listeners at the same time is just around the corner and the sky's the limit with our streaming servers.

So tell friends about the radio station, send an email, instant message your friends and family, talk about the station at school and the work place, get involved and tune in. There is a long road ahead to over take the trance channel but if some hardcore parties can pull 10,000 people it's certainly a possibility!

Tune in now: http://www.HappyHardcore.com/radio/

AATW to cover more hardcore tracks
UK based commercial dance label "All around the world" (AATW) are continuing what seems like a blanket coverage of all hardcore hits with two new hardcore cover songs of the tracks "Ham, Demo & Justin Time - Here I Am" and "Bang! - Sail Away" by the new group "Dance Assassins".

Love it or hate it they are being released with the original hardcore artists permission - who in turn will receive royalties from the new versions.

   HappyHardcore.com breaks listener record!
We predicted it last week and sure enough it happened, HappyHardcore.com radio passed its previous simultaneous listener record yesterday with 834 people tuning in at the same time. What more is interesting is that at the time the radio was not even a live show, it was regular programming!

It is quite amazing for an internet radio station to pull more people that most mid-size hardcore parties and raves. We have virtually unlimited listening slots from our cluster audio servers, pumping to you free hardcore music 24 hours a day that is fully licensed (yep artists and labels are getting paid!). Thanks for making HappyHardcore.com radio your number one hardcore radio station in the world!

HappyHardcore.com radio hardcore fans tune in
HappyHardcore.com radio and partner DI hardcore channel are blowing up in numbers! Last year we blew the roof off our radio peak listeners with a record of 812 people tuning in for the a DJ Silver live show. This is expected as a live show would attract more people to tune in at one point. What you probably don't know is that nearly every week day for the past two weeks we have broken our non live listener peak record (a new record each day breaking the previous days record), so much so that the non live record is now a fraction below 800 listeners. We are predicting our non live listeners record will break and pass the live listener record in a matter of days.

Big up all the hardcore fans / listeners out there, hardcore music is force to be reckoned with and these numbers go to show that. HappyHardcore.com radio continues to stay steady in the top 40 internet broadcasts on the planet - this is amazing since we are competing with every genre including stuff like rock, pop, trance and classical and the fact there is over 10,000 other radio stations out there.

Sharkey to form new label plus album details
An update for all the Sharkey fans out there, news on the wire is that Sharkey is forming a new hardcore label! It is unclear what style of hardcore or what it is to be called but Sharkey was spotted in the studio with Jon Doe over the weekend, so perhaps something along the lines of the track "Wicked MC" featuring Sharkey and CLSM for a guess perhaps?

More news from the Sharkzter, is that his new album is due in the following months from Resist, we strongly believe the name of the album is "Sharkzter" but the name has not been finalized so it's still open for debate.

   AATW HeartBeatz update
News direct from the source on the commercial release of Heartbeatz on AATW is that the video is not 100% complete and even the backing audio is not the one they will be using in the final video. HappyHardcore.com as also learnt that the remix titles on the cover artwork are just a mock up leaving space for a possible hardcore version to make its way on the CD single. Fingers crossed.

Heartbeatz goes all around the world
The full commercial release of HeartBeatz by Styles and Breeze is set for release shortly on AATW, HappyHardcore.com has the artwork of the new cover and a new artist shot. The promo release included hardcore mixes but it looks like the full release does not contain any hardcore mixes. There is also a complete music video to this track, we will get a copy for everyone as soon as it is available.

All around the world (AATW) is the label that brought you the commercial versions of You're shining, Eyeopener, Discoland, and Shooting Star just to name a few. HeartBeatz was originally releases as a hardcore track on the hardcore label Raver Baby two years ago with massive success. HappyHardcore.com wishes the best of luck to the hardcore artists Styles & Breeze for the full release.

   Like a prayer 2005 stylee
DJ Bo from Germany (not to be confused with Bo & Luke from Hazard County records) has sent HappyHardcore.com artwork and a clip of his first release. The tune is obviously a remix and has alot of German influences. The first pressing will be limited to only 100 pieces we are told. It is unclear at the moment how to buy this tune, we are assuming that there will be distribution outside Germany, we will keep everyone posted.

AAC Plus MP4 baby!

2005/01/05
Customer encoders + AAC Plus MP4 stream added
At HappyHardcore.com we care about your ears :) We have chucked out our old stream encoders and hand built our very own encoders for the bitrates we stream at. Take a listen to our HappyHardcore.com radio 96k stream, you would not guess it's 96k, in fact it sounds better than most other 128k streams!

but we did not stop there...

HappyHardcore.com are proud to present the future in internet radio, we have added the world's first AAC Plus hardcore music encoded stream! There are only a handful of these extremely powerful streams running in the world (39 to be exactly at the time of this news post) and HappyHardcore.com radio are honored to be one of them.

Now what the hell does AAC Plus mean I hear you ask? AAC Plus encoding is amazing, it fits so much inside so little... The new stream is running at only 24k (yuck I hear you say) but this tiny 24k stream sounds like our high bandwidth stream... that's correct! This new stream using AAC Plus encoding is more than 6 times better compression than MP3, that means you can fit more music in a small stream (or internet connection)... We can even stream in 5.1 surround sound there is so much extra space available!

To bottom line it... modem listeners and people with slow internet connections can now listen to HappyHardcore.com at the same quality as broadband listeners!

And to top it all off, you probably already have the software installed, all you need to tune in is Winamp v5 (click to download)

If you have Winamp 5 installed the new stream is live now and you can listen to it by clicking the logo below or clicking here.

You wont believe your ears...

Modem listeners = high quality as HappyHardcore.com goes AAC Plus!
